Some Basics

From Tohoku Night Style Wiki

From user Paul Teller on theHEM discord, edited by sus time

Some basics:

  • Japanese language helps but is not required. It doesn't hurt to learn some basic phrases.
  • this (Mongering) is semi legal in Japan but people are not explicit(crude), do not attempt to be explicit.
  • prices(for their time) are not negotiable but extras are. Carry cash and understand the listed price is the base price that you pay.
  • streetwalkers are illegal; they exist but are dangerous if you don't know Japanese and you may get get robbed or worse on your own,

Safety:

  • never follow a tout or anyone from the street that invites you in somewhere
  • do not go to unknown bars with people you just met for a drink. You will get drugged and wake up poorer.
  • the police will not side with you on anything as you are a foreigner.
  • STDs(STI, UTI) are a thing here. Wrap or not wrap is your call but many STDs are permanent.

Appointments:

  • Appointments are preferred by shops and girls, you rarely should just walk in.
  • Usually you can see (via the shops) who is working up to a week in advance.
  • Shops often will not have show detail photos, often photo shopped. Sometimes the girls will have clearer photos on their twitter.
  • If the girls have a posted twitter or line, you can contact said provider and ask if they see foreigners. Not all shops cater to foriengers and those that do not all the girls want to see foreigners. Sometimes the shops have that posted in the girls profile.
  • Be polite, Japanese are extremely polite. Being a 'Karen' here will get you thrown out and a free knuckle sandwich.
  • Dual Pricing: often the shops that do permit visitors, will have a different price for us. Often double. This is the so called Gaijin Tax.

Common mistakes:

  • don't ask specifcs, they do not do this
  • don't show late; Japanese are either exactly on time or very very early.
  • if you are military (thank you for your service); there are places near the base always, but those are great places to catch an STD, go elsewhere. Please do not wear your uniform, as we know offbase it's not a great idea and I believe a crime. You are a guest here and represent your country.

Other things:

  • you can visit HUBs in your city (HUB is a popular chain british 'style' pub) and often find Gaijin Hunters (women "too old" for Japanese men over 25yo), women that want foreigners. They tend to be very easy, just don't get child support.
