VIO: this is another thing that is super common in Japan.

VIO means hair removal from the V, I, and O lines (basically balls, shaft, asshole) via waxing or laser treatment. Many Japanese do this. Like many, to the point that there are chain stores that exist just to do this, where some woman comes and does hair removal on you. You don’t finish as in no scenario does it feel good and you often are forbidden from going to sauna or onsen for three days post one of these treatments.
