Alright, here's an informal formatting of my reflection on my Delivery Health (aka DH, Deli Hel, etc.) experience in Tokyo Japan. I'll give suggestions/locations at the end of this narrative-like timeline post.

1. I thought I could learn enough Japanese to negotiate "local" prices with DH shops in the span of 2-3 months (starting since November 2025 to End of January 2026).

2. That was naive and flat out foolish of me. Sure you can learn hiragana/katana and some common "zero level" japanese (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCGO6kbtfM4&t=3s&pp=ygUaemVybyBsZXZlbCBqYXBhbmVzZSBrYW5hbWU%3D) paired with this nifty dirty talking resource here https://blog.gaijinpot.com/how-to-talk-dirty-in-japanese/ BUT it is NOWHERE CLOSE to confidently convince a shop to offer pricing that locals would get.

3. I got gaijin pricing, somewhere in the ballpark of like 1.5 to 2 times more than the local price. Japan aint cheap, its a blue chip country, even with the "weak yen" most of that can be felt in food not so much in DH in my opinion.

4. Second major confusion I had, which looking back at this experience I guessss it could just me being stupid... but I had the misconception that "Hotel fee" that you'll see listed on sites like cityheaven and yaosobiheaven meant that the DH shop would select a Love Hotel they're partnered with AHEAD OF TIME!

5. THIS IS FALSE! And boy did it create so so SO MUCH stress for me. The DH shop through LINE has a policy to have their customers send them a message about 30 minutes before the customer's reservation time slot, allowing for the DH shop to coordinate with the girl's ETA. So how did I manage to find myself in this predicament if I thought they arranged a Love Hotel ahead of time due to the mistranslation + misconception of "Hotel fee" on their shop homepage?

6. The answer lies in when I had asked the shop for their recommended Love Hotels to stay nearby at. And when I chosen one they picked, I had mistakenly assumed that meant I just goto the hotel, be assigned a room [my inner thoughts at the time: maybe after some payment for said room or after the girl and I would be done with the room] and "wait for the fun to arrive".

7. It was only when the DH shop asked me through LINE "what room number?" did I realize that I had to be the one to get to the Love Hotel first and get a room, with only 10 minutes left until my time reservation slot!!! Can you hear the stress I went through? I picked up the pace and hurriedly walked to the first Love Hotel that I picked out of the DH shop's recommendations.

8. I arrive, uncomfortably sweaty, pressured by time, and overwhelmed by the massive tablet screen in front of me to reserve a room, scrambling to get out Google Chrome Lens to translate the japanese text! It just happened to be my luck that all rooms were booked...

9. Well fuck, Im pretty sure I only had 2 minutes or already at time I don't really remember, I panick text the DH shop that this Love Hotel was full. Their suggestion was to find another one nearby, so I did just that to another they recommended, a 5 minute walk away.

10. I felt bad, felt like I'd done fucked up, the logistical nightmare of trying to find an available Love Hotel room nearby and already my reservation time slot was being eaten into, but I persevered and successfully got ahold of a room, using some Deep L to ask for an extra buffer hour ontop of the original length of time I had reserved with the DH Shop (2 hours original + 1 buffer hour = 3 hours for LH room)

11. I get into the room and get comfortable trying to relax, the room was so warm and outside was so cold, the temperature extremes of Japan especially during this winter time of year are so real. I let the DH shop know what room number and even paste the Google Maps link of the LH since there were apparently many LHs with similar names and probably since Im a gaijin they wanted to double check.

12. I'll keep the rest of this pretty short. The girl I picked out showed up, collected the base shop fee for the time I had reserved for, and then... negotiations for extras between me and her. The general sequence of next events were a quick shower involving the basic body wash, with an emphasis of soaping up the dick, and then a promptly prepared cup of mouthwash gargling it and spitting it down on the shower floor drain, then off to outside to dry up with towels and have fun on the bed.

Okay, details, pricing. 2 hour shop fee: 78,000 yen Extras rough estimation: 33,000 yen 3 hour Love Hotel room at BaliAn Glamping Shinjuku: 8,800 yen

Total Damage roughly: 119,800 yen (~781.51 USD)

First choice Love Hotel that had no more rooms available for me: Pasha - https://maps.app.goo.gl/NMCQDZ88aBZXBQSF6

Second choice: BaliAn Glamping Shinjuku - https://maps.app.goo.gl/AACuoM1h724KMeBk7

Q: WAS IT WORTH? A: As an experience for a complete beginner to DH to figuring out first-hand how it all works? Sure its worth. The DH Girl was very cute, my type of girl, the ones you wouldn't find at the soaplands given I like petite.

Q: WORTH DOING AGAIN? A: For most people, no. Don't. Just save yourself the headache. Go do soaplands where its much more beginner friendly, much more hand held and negotiations for extras with DH girl are not so back and forth with translator apps. It was definitely an expensive, new experience for me and I accepted this in hindsight lol.
