*Takii Shinchi: The least known to my knowledge....generally reserved for locals. rarely will foreigners be able to enter unless fluent Japanese is spoken or if a local may vouch for you / translate. Provides extremely rare services, even by Japan's standards by default and is the smallest of all Shinchi.

Osaka has some unique redlight districts. If you have been to Amsterdam, this may feel familiar. But here you can go window shopping, literally.

  • Shinodayama Shinchi :It’s much more compact but is cheaper than Tobita.
  • Imazato: One of the known three, this particular area offers a smaller range of providers, and a grasp of the Japanese language is preferred.
  • Takii Shinchi: The least known to knowledge....generally reserved for locals. Rarely will foreigners be able to enter unless fluent Japanese is spoken or if a local may vouch for you / translate. Provides extremely rare services, even by Japan's standards by default and is the smallest of all Shinchi.

The map posted above www.fooco.net/tobita-map/ also has quite a bit of information and you can at the bottom search store criteria.

Individual stores will have a LINE usually and information is accessible there (only in Japanese and generally only for people with an age-verified Japanese phone number).
